Math290
Math290 is an extra 1 unit course that can be added along any C&M course. It purpose is to give you an extra credit for the fact that you are learning how to use the Mathematica software. You can take only once in your academic career (even if you take multiple C&M courses). Talk to your C&M instructor to see how the grade for it is formed.
In addition to the UIUC campus-based classes, we offer distance learning mathematics courses through NetMath.

Comments from Students

I am now in my last semester at the U of I and will be graduating with highest honors. I have never felt I was hurt by taking a C&M class versus a traditional style class. On the contrary, I think it has helped me immensely. While other Electrical and Computer Engineering students were getting bogged down in math, I was able to apply my Mathematica knowledge and C&M skills to concentrate my attention to understanding the core Electrical and Computer Engineering issues.
